We decided to go on two more location reccies, this time in Speldhurst and Fordcombe. These two villages contain forests and graveyards, both of which we plan to feature in our film opening at points. We felt it would be useful to take practice shots of the locations - not only for reference, but also to observe the quality of the footage, which was filmed in low lighting due to the time of day. This helped us to gain valuable experience for night/low light filming. Poor/dull lighting conditions are conventional to psychological horrors.

The low light from 2.00 onwards shows ideal levels of light that could be used in our opening sequence. This light level starts to appear from around 5.30pm.
ReplyDeleteThese reccies were very helpful in gaining experience in filming in our chosen locations especially considering the lighting aspect. Personally, I like the shot with the tree to be potentially used for the hangman's noose. I also think that the level of lighting towards the end of the film is good although perhaps slightly too dark, and we need to take that into consideration for the final film.
ReplyDeleteThese are excellent locations, I think you could make a film that would make people jump, I dont think we have had that before - well done
